Privacy Policy - PitchTrack Chrome Extension

Last updated: May 10, 2026

1. Overview

PitchTrack is a Chrome extension developed by PitchTrack SAS that allows users to record their Google Meet calls and analyze them with AI to improve their commercial performance. This privacy policy describes what data the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

2. Data we collect

The extension collects the following data, only when explicitly triggered by the user:

  • Audio recordings of Google Meet calls (tab audio + microphone), captured only after the user clicks "Start recording" and confirms participant consent.
  • Authentication credentials (email and password) used to log into your PitchTrack account through the official Supabase authentication service.
  • Meeting metadata entered by the user (prospect company name) and basic contextual data (Meet URL, tab title, recording start/end timestamps).
  • User profile data retrieved from your PitchTrack account (first name, last name, email) to label the analysis correctly.

3. How we use the data

  • Audio files are uploaded to PitchTrack's secure storage (Supabase) and processed by OpenAI Whisper for transcription, then by Anthropic Claude for sales analysis.
  • Transcriptions and analyses are stored in your PitchTrack account and accessible only to you (and your team members if you have a Team plan).
  • We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising purposes.
  • We do not use this data to train AI models.

4. Third-party services

The extension relies on the following services to function:

  • Supabase - Authentication and database storage (EU-based servers)
  • OpenAI Whisper - Audio transcription
  • Anthropic Claude - Sales conversation analysis
  • Vercel - Backend hosting

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and complies with GDPR.

5. RGPD / Consent

The extension never starts recording automatically. Each recording requires:

  • An explicit click by the user on the "Start recording" button
  • A consent confirmation that all call participants have been informed

It is the responsibility of the user to inform all call participants and obtain their consent before recording, in accordance with applicable laws (GDPR in the EU, etc.).

6. Permissions used by the extension

  • tabCapture - to capture the audio of the Google Meet tab
  • offscreen - to run the audio recording in the background
  • storage - to store your authentication session locally
  • notifications - to notify you when a recording is detected or complete
  • activeTab - to know which tab you are currently on
  • scripting - to inject the Meet detection logic
  • Host permissions on meet.google.com and app.pitchtrack.ai only

7. Your rights

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time
  • Export your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the extension
  • Lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority)

8. Contact

For any question about this privacy policy or your data: hello@pitchtrack.ai

9. Data retention

Your audio recordings, transcriptions, and analyses are kept as long as your PitchTrack account is active. You can delete them individually at any time from your dashboard. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
